Jacob Wimisberg

Jacob (Kobi) Wimisberg serves as the Director of Strategic Cooperation and Assistance Division in the Israeli National Emergency Managing Authority. In this role, Mr. Wimisberg is leading coordination of national efforts to cooperate internationally in the field of emergency management. As part of this duty Wimisberg cooperates with national and international agencies, and serves on the national policy focal point  UN INSARAG, focal point for the PPRD Program, EU ECHO NTC, and more.

Prior to that, he served as the Director of the Defense Attaches Unit at the Policy and Politico-Military Bureau of the Israeli Ministry of Defense since March 2017. He was responsible for coordinating activities of Israel MOD attaches, for NATO, EU and Multilateral Organizations. 

Wimisberg was one of the founders of the Israeli National Emergency Management Authority, subsequently leading the Authority's Strategic Planning and Cooperation Department between the years 2008-2011.

In his military background Wimisberg served as an infantry Company Commander and in the Aviation Search and Rescue Unit.

Wimisberg is a former Fulbright Scholar and holds a BA degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Behavioral Sciences from the Academic College of Tel Aviv, and MSc in Social & Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University.
